community + stakeholder consultation
Consultation is a two way, informed communication between a project proponent and the community or identified stakeholders on issues prior to decisions being made. It is a vehicle for achieving input to decision making and enhances the process by ensuring that views are communicated and that decision making is accountable. The key principles of consultation are inclusiveness, provision of information, implementation and evaluation.
Consultation is becoming a core of all projects and in recognition of this, Syrinx Environmental has developed a unique and highly successful approach to consultation. This approach is built on the establishment of meaningful relationships and the ongoing exchange of views, information and expertise between all parties. Our successes to date are due to the commitment of our clients, our facilitation skills, open and transparent methodologies and an appreciation of differing views.
health + safety
Safety is a priority at Syrinx. Our Environmental Health and Safety Guidelines and Safety Management Plan has been developed with absolute adherence to Australian Safety and WorkSafe Standards.
Protocols and procedures within the Plan include:
- Project Risk Assessment
- Job Safety Assessment (JSA)
- EH+S Induction of all members + regular Refresher Inductions
- Regular project updates and Communication Planning
- Incident Report Forms + Site Log Books
- Chain-of-Command + Procedures and Protocols
- Regulated safety checks on all equipment along with random checks by Management
- Fit-for-Work forms and medical clearance prior to commencement of works
- Quality assured PPE and associated products and equipment
