Debbie is the Design Director of Syrinx Environmental PL and works with an integrated approach to urban design, masterplanning, landscape architecture, architecture, furniture and graphic design. She has a strong commitment to global design excellence with built works in Greece and Australia, and has engaged in urban renewal and tourist-based proposals on ecological and culturally sensitive sites.

Awards she has won for Syrinx include the Australian Award for Urban Design - Public Domain category; 2005, and finalist in the Banksia Awards; 2005 for the Point Fraser Development, Perth. Debbie was also a part of Axis Mundi Architects in Athens, Greece. Their project of the Liaskos Showrooms won the Greek Biennale Award 2001, and was subsequently nominated for submission into the Mies van der Rohe Award, 2002.

Delivering successful and sustainable outcomes is an important facet of Debbie’s approach to design, hence strong communication with clients and other consultants to find innovative and effective solutions is a feature of her work. Debbie is unequivocal in her belief that new built projects must set the standards of environmental, social and economic sustainability for the client and the broader community
